Lorraine was born in London and studied sculpture for several years, and was invited to undertake a Fine Art Degree which offered access to a host of ideas, concepts and research information. During the past 15 years, Lorraine has spent more time travelling and discovered the joys and versatility of working with acrylic and oil paints and various mixed media materials. Lorraine is drawn to the landscape. Her scientific and musical background have influenced her approach to her work, which reference rhythm, form, spaces and voids. Her work has become gradually more abstract as it is her fascination with the exploration of the imagination that she seeks.
