Born 1987 in Slovakia / After my first solo show in Brussels in 2009 I moved to Paris where I had exhaustingly discovered the possibilities of liquid paint spending some six years within this adventure. Mid-2016 I did return to the colourful surfaces, smooth and bright I used to work with before. To these ‘aplats de couleurs’ I decided to add something new: a sort of ornaments – these are to sublime and to de-structure by their presence within the composition the relations between colours. This was something new for me although the ornament and its use being profoundly enrooted in my culture. Here I propose a series of landscape paintings which follow a large garden series exhibited in France and Japan so far.
