Jackson, Hannah

(b.1994, UK) I have always lived in South East London and Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Painting from Camberwell College of Arts in 2016, showing ‘The Golden Forest’ in the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition of the same year.

In 2017 I studied for a Diploma in Jewellery Manufacture & 2D Design from the British Academy of Jewellery, winning a 2018 Silver & 2024 Bronze Award for Jewellery 2D Design at the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council awards. I currently continue to create bespoke jewellery pieces and acrylic paintings.

My paintings explore the personal identity and stories of woman, playing with the classic theme of women within domestic interiors. I layer patterns, objects and imagery to suggest the history of these woman and narratives within the scene. All aspects of the composition, from the placement of paintings to the carefully curated scenes, offers insight into the lives and experiences of the women depicted. My work is highly narrative driven, inviting viewers to uncover the stories woven into each scene.

My work is held in private collections and has been exhibited in the 2016 Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition, the 2023 Royal society of British Artists Exhibition, the 2025 Beyond the Prize Exhibition and the 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 New English Art Clubs exhibition.
