Sidenius, Sarah

I work in bold colour, layered texture, and intuitive mark-making to create abstract compositions that are instinctive and emotionally charged. Inspired by unexpected hues in nature and the light that breaks through both physical and emotional spaces, my work responds to the tension and beauty found in everyday terrain. Often working across multiple canvases simultaneously, I allow contrast, energy, and movement to guide the process. These paintings are bursts of vibrant life and luminosity, expressive reflections of inner and outer landscapes.

Mostly self-taught, I was born in Switzerland to Welsh and Danish parents. I’m currently based in Edinburgh, with plans to relocate to London.
