Fan, Yinghong

Born in China and now residing in the UK since 2007, Yinghong Fan is a self-taught painter with nearly twenty years of experience, specialising in watercolours and traditional Chinese painting. Her artistic journey has been shaped by learning from renowned tutors across both China and the UK, where she has honed her craft and developed a distinctive style that seamlessly blends Eastern traditions with modern influences.

As a passionate traveller, she finds inspiration in the places she visits, capturing the essence of diverse landscapes, architecture, and cultures through her art. Deeply inspired by the natural world, she paints vibrant scenes of nature, including landscapes, nebulas, and wildlife. Her work offers more than visual beauty; it resonates with audiences, provides a window into the uniqueness of other countries, encouraging audiences to explore the world and discover its wonders for themselves. Painting is a deeply therapeutic process for her, offering calm reflection and connection.

Yinghong’s main interest is landscape and nature, including botanical art, sea life, aurora and nebula. She also leaps into Chinese traditional flower and bird fine art and ink painting.

Yinghong has exhibited with Ayot Art Show for multiple times and art shows in London and Cambridgeshire, including Cambridge Open Studios and East Anglian Watercolourists exhibition, since her family moved there from Hertfordshire. Her work can be found in private collections.
