I am photographic artist exploring inspirations and life experiences through the medium of vintage analogue photography. 

In the words of photographer  Elliott Erwitt, “photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Using primarily the victorian wet plate collodion process alongside medium and large format film my work involves producing images directly onto glass and metal, and also alternative prints onto art papers producing a deeper connection with the image.

Based in the stunning Glen Lyon in the Scottish Highlands my environment provides a strong influence in my work which varies from landscape, figure, portrait and other fine art subjects.
