Cattermull, Caroline

A Devon‑based artist who creates vibrant acrylic paintings inspired by travel, wild places and the natural world. Her work spans seascapes, portraits and animals, shaped by encounters at home and overseas. Through layered colour and intuitive brushwork, she explores the illusion of movement and seeks to capture the essence of a moment rather than its literal form. Caroline holds a BA (Hons) in Illustration and her paintings are held in numerous private collections and installed in several public buildings.
After two decades living abroad, the colours and cultures of the wider world continue to shape her palette. Now settled back in England, the soft light, sweeping hills and coastal edges of Devon are inspiring a fresh chapter – one rooted in place yet alive with possibility.
