Farrell, Hania
I’m interested in how movement — not only through space — but through subtle shifts in thought, time, and perception , shapes who we are. My work reflects on what often passes beneath the surface: how memory bends, how identity adapts, how environments leave lasting traces.
Through photography, video installation, and collage, I try to explore the poetics of form, space, and perception. Some works use layered visual elements such as industrial forms reframed as still-life abstractions, or X-rays that fuse the organic and symbolic through light and transparency. In immersive environments, it’s light and silence that speak for themselves.
This sensibility runs through projects like ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, which captures the instinctive playfulness that connects us beyond identity. In ‘Mental Hues’, abstraction, motion, and colour become emotional registers—images caught in transition, where perception blurs and transforms. I’m drawn to the spaces in-between: stillness and flux, presence and absence, the seen and the felt.
