Ferguson , Rebecca

I am a London-based artist specialising in oil painting. My work explores the relationship between life and death through the forms of flora and bone, drawing inspiration from the natural world and its intricate structures, textures and patterns. Through my paintings, I seek to reveal the beauty, resilience and mystery within both living and once-living forms.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Illustration and Animation and have spent fourteen years working in the film industry as a Creature and Character Artist. My background in anatomy, composition, form and lighting continues to influence my painting practice.

Having recently returned to painting full-time, I continue to explore my fascination with nature, animals and the cycles of life.
