Ashmita is an abstract artist and is deeply passionate about interpreting and unveiling the unique beauty of the natural world.

“I am a product of my environment. I absorb and reflect on what I see and feel. My travels have deeply influenced my work, allowing me to bring fresh energy and perspective to my canvas. Through color and movement, my paintings convey emotions beyond words, driven by a deep compulsion to transcend simple objective representation.

My abstract art strips away narrative and expected visuals, engaging the subconscious, and inviting unique personal interpretation—each viewer finds their own meaning in the work.
I believe that in realistic art, the language is spoken on the painting. In abstract art, there is no language—it becomes whatever the viewer makes of it. The process remains the same, but the understanding is different.

I am strongly influenced by my life, my culture and the surroundings I find myself in. In recent years I moved further away from traditional painters’ tools, and developed a style largely assisted by the use of unconventional techniques, helping me build and mold my images to recreate my vision on canvas.”
