Ruddlesdin, Katherine
I am a fine artist specialising in abstract landscape painting, with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Art History and extensive teaching experience. My practice is grounded in the belief that art can have a meaningful and positive impact, creating opportunities for reflection, connection, and emotional engagement.
Nature often provides the starting point for my paintings, which develop through an intuitive, process-led approach using layering, texture, and abstraction. In this way, the work explores atmosphere, memory, and emotion, inviting viewers to connect and respond in their own way.
My work has been exhibited at the Royal Marsden Hospital, reflecting my interest in the relationship between art, wellbeing, and environment. Alongside my studio practice, teaching has continued to shape my creative outlook and reinforce the importance of visual expression and creativity within everyday life.
