Smith, Penny

Penny Smith is an Essex-based artist who loves to mesh abstract techniques with recognisable subjects. Her training in graphic art initiated a journey through various mediums including drawing, print and paint. Her recent work is a loosely styled collection in acrylic, of favourite places, under the theme, “A sense of space”. She has produced many commissions of clients’ own choices of memorable scenes and personal portraits, with work sent to Canada, North America, Australia and Europe. Her current series, named “Childhood by design” depicts those all too fleeting moments of childhood awe and wonder.
