Wardle, Ben

Ben lives on a farm in rural Essex and has been spent the last 25 years of his life working in and exploring some of the most beautiful countryside East Anglia has to offer.

He is an established East Anglian landscape and countryside  artist whose paintings are of what he sees in these landscapes, but more importantly how he feels when he is in them.

He has a BSc in Zoology and an MA in Fine Art, using the opportunity to analyse his practice. Being in wild spaces has a tremendous effect on our mental health, and Ben found out just how much this psychological/environmental link gives him a great source of creative inspiration.

He is  inspired by the research of Environmental Philosopher Glenn Albrecht, and researches and reads extensively on what the future holds for nature, farming and our countryside. His paintings hope to start conversations and help promote a more positive, healthy future for ourselves and our environment.

He exhibits regularly in London and East Anglia, and his work has been featured in both ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine and ‘World of Interiors’ magazine.
