Zubach, Olena

Olena Zubach is a Ukrainian artist specialising in impasto oil painting, currently based in Lviv. Working with bold texture and vivid colour, she creates expressive, three-dimensional compositions that transform everyday reality into luminous and emotionally charged scenes. Her practice is rooted in the tactile qualities of oil paint, using layered brushstrokes and saturated palettes to evoke warmth, joy, and movement.

Alongside painting, Olena creates wearable art and traditional Ukrainian jewellery, and leads workshops on decorating Christmas and Easter ornaments. Trained at the Oleksa Novakivskyi Lviv Art School, she has exhibited in Ukraine through her solo exhibitions My Bright World (2015) and Colours of Happiness (2019).

Alongside her artistic practice, Olena is also a medical doctor, PhD, and Associate Professor at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.

Her works are held in private collections across the UK, USA, UAE, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Croatia, and Ukraine.
