I experiment with a variety of materials and techniques, including collage, inks, paint and clay, exploring different ways of depicting primarily the human figure, but also still life and landscape. The use of texture in my work is crucial – I use found papers, Japanese washi, stained papers and layers of paint to achieve this in my collages. I enjoy experimenting with different materials and different colours and the unknown aspect of how a work is going to turn out by mixing materials like charcoal with liquid watercolour and acrylic ink.
